SHFH in partnership with the City of Saginaw and United Methodist Churches have completed another deconstruct-reconstruct project. The house at 1109 Chestnut was deconstructed down to the wall studs and was rebuilt to Energy Star standards using Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds, help from Braddock Demolition, and dedicated volunteer labor from the Methodist churches and other community volunteers. The house also meets ADA accessibility criteria. The house was dedicated July 19th, 2011 and the new homeowners, Albert and Maria Garcia, are set to move in shortly.
