Dow Chemical will sponsor Neighborhood Revitalization on a yearly basis with funding for the Great
Lakes Bay Region Habitats for Humanity (Midland, Bay and Saginaw counties). Hundreds of Dow
volunteers will be dispersed among the three communities. Additionally, their company will also donate
product (Dow Foam, Gaps & Cracks Insulating Foam, Housewrap, Construction Tape, Sillpans and
Straight Flashing) to Saginaw Habitat for Humanity.

A group of SVSU nursing students are working with Veterans and Saginaw Habitat for Humanity to help
veterans to become either homeowners or to receive Critical Home Repair to the home they already
own and occupy.

In 2010 Saginaw Habitat for Humanity was awarded $384,000 from the Federal Home Loan Bank of
Indianapolis with the assistance and fiduciary oversight from Wanigas Credit Union. This represents
$32,000 to rehab each of 12 units for low‐income families with a disabled family member. Wanigas also
contributes $1,000 toward each of the units and will again volunteer on one or more of the rehabs for
which they helped us acquire funding or for Critical Home Repair projects.
